First Album Cover

Band Influences

Preliminary Planning

We were assigned with the task of inventing a band, writing up a profile, creating a logo, and holding a photoshoot for the album cover. This was my finished profile:

BAND PROFILE:

Artist History: Formed in 2004 when they were at school together in Surrey. Since then they have dominated the folk music market, primarily producing folk covers of popular songs. They debuted with their hit single ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ (original by Bob Dylan). The band comprises of Eliza Kisses (lead vocals) and Dot Sunshine (guitar and vocals). Their first album, The Sunshine Kisses, was made up of various cover songs such as ‘I Get Around’ (Beach Boys), California Dreaming (the Mama’s and the Papa’s), and ‘Daydream Believer’ (The Monkees) as well as a few of their own compositions. Their latest original single ‘Daisy Chain’ has recently been released and will be included in their next album due to come out this year.

Record Company: Rainbow Records; independent record company.

Target Audience: Post 60’s Retros, Hippy’s and Peacenicks

Band Image/Style: Primary colors are blue and green because it makes them feel at one with nature/ Printed flower dresses/ bare feet or sandals. Heavy use of the CND symbol.
